Capturing opt-ins

We’ve been talking a lot about list building this month. Sometimes the options can be overwhelming.

Finding just the right plugin or tool that’s easy to setup, doesn’t cost a fortune and beautifully does the job can be challenging. Here are 3 of my favorite tools for capturing opt-ins:

HelloBar

The HelloBar is a notification bar that draws visitors to your call to action on your website. It’s a great way to grow your list.

You can customize the bar color, button and where the button goes – whether it’s a landing page for a product or your email list sign up.

To get the HelloBar or find out more information, check out their website http://hellobar.com

PopupAlly

This free plugin allows you to create popup sign up forms without having to code anything – in minutes. You can customize all sorts of options and there are even free tutorials.

You can upgrade to the Pro version and have access to many more options.

Tips

  • After testing, make sure you update the Show popup every ___ days. The popup developers recommend every 14 days.
  • After testing, make sure you update the Time-delayed popup Show after ___ seconds so it doesn’t show immediately for everyone. Maybe a delay of 40-50 seconds will work for you.

MailChimp for WordPress

This plugin is easy and simple to use. Just check a few boxes and pick a color scheme. You simply add the shortcode to your post, page or widget.

There is also a pro version for this plugin with many more options. You can find out all the details here – https://mc4wp.com/

These tools can be installed and set up quickly. Try one (or all) of them out and see if it helps you build your list.
